Our
pickle,
often
called a German or Kosher Dill Pickle, cures 2 weeks in a clear
spice and garlic brine. The Kosher Dill is the pickle most Americans
expect when they ask for a kosher pickle. It is not, however,
the pickle most New Yorkers know to be the authentic Jewish Deli
pickle. The authentic New York deli pickles are the Half Sour
and the Sour pickle. Naturally, our industry considers the Kosher
Dill our Garlic pickle. Keep in mind all Sunshine pickle products
are OU kosher. (Is this clear, it’s very complicated?) This is
an exceptionally hearty pickle - and generally has a 60+ day shelf
life if kept refrigerated. This is also the pickle of choice when
cutting spears, sheets, or chips.
